Why Is This an Issue?...

In the world of Politics one of the most important and debated platforms is abortion. In 1973 the United States Supreme Court ruled that women have the right to terminate a pregnancy. A Supreme Court ruling is very unlikely to be overturned not impossible just unlikely. The fact that this is still an issue in Politics is amazing to me. I'm not stating whether I am in favor or not in favor of abortion, just simply stating that people are beating a dead horse. Back to my original question, Why is abortion even an issue in politics? Is it because the public wants insight as to where the candidates stand as far as ethics and morals are concerned? Seriously?....They ARE politicians do they even have morals? Back to abortion. I know that a lot of citizens protest abortion and would like to see it outlawed, I hate to be the barer of bad news but that's just not going to happen. And another thing! I don't understand all of the bashing, protesting and judging of the women that do decide to have an abortion. What would you do if you were in the same situation as that pregnant woman? I am not talking about the pregnant women that have 2,3 and 4 abortions because they don't know how to use protection! I mean the ones that are truly in a dellima. If you had asked me 4 years ago if I was in favor of abortion I would have stated very quickly that I was not. However, in the last 4 years I have learned not to judge because you never know what type of situation you may be in. No one can say with certainty that they would do or not do something if they haven't already had the experience. Stop judging.
